Established in 1998, Profit Masters Ltd has changed considerably over more than 25 years. What began around business consultancy, sales and marketing has gradually evolved into the corporate home of two very different specialist businesses.

Profit Masters Ltd is established
The beginning of the company that would eventually become home to two specialist businesses.
1999
March
Paul leaves banking
Paul left his career in banking to focus on understanding what makes businesses succeed and helping business owners improve their strategy, marketing and profitability.
2008
December
Angie joins Profit Masters
Angie joined the company after more than 20 years in commercial and corporate sales and marketing, including roles with Barclays, Marsh and Equinix.
With Paul firmly in the offline space, Angie choose to develop her ‘online marketing’ skills.
Building Badminton-Coach
Badminton-Coach became Angie’s practical test bed. Paul created content around the sport he knew and loved, while Angie built the website and developed her skills in keyword research, content, website optimisation and SEO.
From experiment to established website
Badminton-Coach went on to dominate page 1 of Google for many badminton-related searches and, at its peak in circa 2016, attracted around 50,000 visits each month. That visibility helped build the coaching and badminton side of the business significantly.
2020
February
Paul moves into badminton full time
By 2020, Badminton-Coach had grown sufficiently for Paul to leave business consultancy and focus completely on badminton coaching, courses and related activities.
Covid changes everything
Unfortunately, the timing couldn’t have been worse. Covid brought face-to-face coaching and badminton weekend courses to a halt.
Rebuilding
It took around 18 months following the pandemic to rebuild the badminton business. Rather than resurrecting Paul’s consultancy work, Angie and Paul chose to continue developing their separate specialist areas.
Today
Two specialist businesses
Paul now focuses exclusively on Badminton-Coach, while Angie leads Digital Coach for Coaches, specialising in SEO, search strategy and AI visibility.
Profit Masters Ltd now provides the legal and corporate structure behind both businesses.
